Unique and Quirky and REAL
Weekly Reading Topic for December 7, 2019: Unique and Quirky and REAL
Well, good morning, love! I just opened a Reading for you, my newsletter subscribers and here’s what I heard in answer to the following:
What do my readers most need to hear this weekend? What is the most important message to send to my beloved readers?
The answer was: “Unique and Quirky and REAL.”
What follows is your weekly reading, dear one.
Weekly Reading │ Unique and Quirky and REAL
Q: What do we need to know about “Unique and Quirky and REAL?”
A: Oh, this message is filled with so much love, it’s like, well, it’s endless. Imagine one of those super-silly-but-awesome towers of coupe glasses, with a tuxedoed sommelier pouring beautiful champagne into the top of the pyramid, letting it overflow and splash down, row after row, until all the glasses are filled.
Only the pyramid stretches so high into our sky that we can’t see the top, and the champagne that is being poured is made in vineyards located in the very center of God’s heart, and there is an infinity of it, and he/she/Divine-whatever-you-call-it just stands there, for an eternity, pouring that beautiful golden bubbly splashy stuff into the top glass, a never-ending shower of deliciousness that pours down and down and down, and we all, ALL of us, get a glass.
And then another, and another, and another.
And the champagne tastes like … lemons and apricots and mineral-tinged air. And the bubbles do NOT tickle our noses, they gently swirl in the glass, and pop open only after we take a sip, so that we can taste not just the wine, but the breezes in the vineyard.
And we have never felt so loved, and understood, and celebrated.
THAT’S how much love this message contains. So take a moment and settle in and spread out a picnic blanket or curl up on your couch with your favorite people and take a sip, just for a moment, of this unending love.
And while you do that, remember all of your loved ones who have passed, because as I type this message, as this golden champagne feeling flows around and through me, I see all of my family and friends and even ancestors coming toward me, to sit with me and enjoy this moment. There’s my beloved Aunt Sandy, who loved good wine. She has never visited before, because she has Other Things to Do, but she’s making time for this message, for you, and for me.
And I think YOU have a beloved coming to sit with you, too, don’t you?
So let’s sit with our beloveds for a moment, and enjoy ourselves and our communion. It’s well past time that we enjoyed ourselves and each other, and this gorgeous champagne.
And now let’s see. Champagne means celebration … so what exactly are we celebrating?
We are celebrating ourselves as full, really imperfect, super-sweet humans.
We are celebrating the IDEA of ourselves, which is sort of like saying we are celebrating our “souls,” because as far as I can tell the best way to describe what we usually call souls is to say they are “ideas in the mind of God.”

Like, the Divine had an idea, and that was you. And then God had another idea, and it was your mother. And then Unity had another idea, and it was me. And we are like those bubbles in his/her/its heart champagne: floating around carrying some essential breath, that original idea, and we then go out into the created universe and see what that idea experiences when it becomes flesh.
And our flesh will never fully encapsulate or live out the idea, of course, because, well, because it’s immaterial and just like a breath, like a thought. It’s nothing, really. Except.
It’s everything.
You are an Idea in the Mind of God, and therefore you are … unique and quirky and REAL.
Unique because there is no other idea exactly like you. There are ideas similar to you … but not exactly you.
Quirky because, well, because all ideas are quirky in one way or another. Maybe you are very serious, or quite silly, or you like the color red with a passion that sort of disconcerts, or you secretly think that you are an angel trying to be a human, or you have always wanted to row a boat out into the middle of the lake in the middle of a storm.
And REAL because even after you leave this physical body, you will live on and on, always, as an Idea in the Mind of God. Once something is created, it cannot be lost. That’s physics.
So, nothing is ever gone, only changed or recycled or renewed.
So what you are doing right now, that’s Unique and Quirky and REAL.
And what you do next is also.
And when you ask yourself questions like “what is my potential?” and “will I reach it?” you can come back to this moment, to this champagne-sharing-with-not-only-all-humans-but-all-those-who-have-passed moment and remind yourself that the way to reach your potential is to center yourself in this champagne you are drinking.
You are an Idea in the Mind of God, a Unique and Quirky and REAL girl or boy (or whatever (non)gender you are) and your potential is great because of that. AND you are seeing what the experience of being that idea is … and that by its nature is limited, because it’s physical.
So your destiny, my destiny, every human’s destiny, is to live a life where we wonder “can I ever really reach my potential?”
And the answer will always be, for all of us, “not fully, no, because to ‘reach your potential’ would be to return to being an idea in the mind of God, which would necessitate you leaving the physical body, so … you’ll always feel a little reaching sensation, no matter how zen you try to make your life as you make things happen.”
This existential sensation is at the very center of being human: to know we are unlimited potential AND to experience the limited potential of our physical tissues, our soggy sacks of neurons we call brains.
This is a normal, good, lovely place to be. When you are at your very centered human-ness, you will be able to BOTH dream of wondrous things (Ideas Only God Could Dream) AND experience the imperfection of their physical representations.
Meanwhile, there is champagne to drink.
This weekend, try to center yourself in your messy human-ness. The only way to do this, really, is to call your attention to your physical sensations, over and over. Paying attention to emotions, thoughts, or plans often leads us to unground, float away like the champagne bubbles we were born to be.
Feel your fingers tapping on your phone. Feel the handle of your coffee cup (or your champagne stem!). Pet your cat or your dog and pay close attention ONLY to the feel of their fur, the muscles underneath, the joints and sinews.
The water running over your hands as you do the dishes. The hard handle of the shovel. The slippery gloves, the thick paper, the rough slice of toasted bread.
Find your way fully into the physical world, because that is the actual mission of your life. Your full potential will be reached if and when you are present in more moments than not. When you feel the words on the tip of your tongue and allow them to flow from your lips.
When you feel for the beloved’s hand, and find yourself clasping your own.
You are precious, and God is tracking you, because God doesn’t forget. And has plenty of, plenty of plenty of plenty of champagne.
Enjoy your weekend, and I am always here to serve in any way I can.
Much Love to You!
Molly
