Step Up
Weekly Reading Topic for November 23, 2019: Step Up
Well, good morning, love! I just opened a Reading for you, my newsletter subscribers and here’s what I heard in answer to the following:
What do my readers most need to hear this weekend? What is the most important message to send to my beloved readers?
The answer was: “Step Up.”
It went in a direction I did not expect, and one that puts me in mind of the Latin phrase “Vocatus atque non vocatus deus aderit.”
Called or not called, God is present.
Jung put it over his doorway and on his tomb. It’s something the Oracle at Delphi once told a warrior who wanted to know the outcome of a battle.
It basically means you never know what form or fashion God will take, but God is always here.
And of course, God in my Readings is always just a word for whatever YOU call that Something Bigger Than Us Humans.
What follows is your weekly reading, dear one.
Weekly Reading │Step Up
Q: What do we need to know about “Step Up?”
A: Remember when you were very tiny, and you had to do something very new? Something that your Mom usually did, but that now she wanted YOU to do? Like, order ice cream at the window, clutching your fists around the sweaty dollar bills? Or go all the way over to the neighbor’s house, by yourself, to ask if you could borrow a rake? Or when she asked you to cross the street by yourself for the first time?
You were mostly terrified, right? And seriously shaking inside, sure that your next step was going to be a disaster, even though you’d already been walking for YEARS. And when you brought the thing back, or completed the chore, or spoke to the stranger behind the desk, you felt a sense inside of something like relief. It was done, and you hadn’t ruined it, and the person had done as you requested, and it was over, and you could go back to Mom and see her smile at you.
Well, here’s what it was like for your mother: also terrifying.
She felt every single one of your steps, every moment of hesitation, every prick of fear. She felt the sweaty palms, and she heard you repeating her instructions in her own mind, over and over, like a mantra.
“Mrs. Norton, can I please borrow your rake? I have to help with the leaves, and we are using both of ours.”
“I would like three small cones, one vanilla, one chocolate, and one swirl.”
“Look both ways, and make sure that no one’s coming, and then go fast, but don’t run and trip. Don’t run and trip. Don’t run and trip.”
Your mother could feel every part of your stress and strain to get this new thing right, and even though she smiled encouragingly when you looked at her, inside she was melting down with fear and insecurity.
This was a test for her, in her mind, as much as it was for you, in yours.
And now, today, we still have that experience, right? We try something new, and sweat it out like four-year-olds.
But here’s the thing: we should be doing that for each other, too, because — hmmm … I don’t often get “angelic messages” for lack of a better word, but I’m getting one now (I think!).
Here’s the message from your/our angels:
We are watching you as you watch your children, and as your mothers watched you.
The angels have a message for us this weekend, and it’s that they are very, very much present. So many of us have called out for help this week that they are responding in legion. They are swarming the skies above us. If you could “see” angels (which is difficult because they are so very much unseeable) you would see nothing else when you looked up.
Tonight when you go outside (or today, it doesn’t matter, they are there 24/7) take a moment and look up at the sky and just imagine you see swirls and swirls of translucent energy, energy that shimmers like a dolphin’s back as it leaps from the water. That crystal/silvery/shimmery energy, washing itself over the sky, around the clouds, fills every ounce of our atmosphere right now, all over our globe. The angels are here because we have asked them to be.
They are also here despite us not asking.

The word angel can have a heavily Christian sound to a lot of people, but be reminded: in all cultures there are traditional figures that are messengers from the beyond. Angels are non-denominational. In fact, they are non-religious. They are everywhere and always, and they are available to us 100%.
That means this (and this is the thing they really want you to know): They Always Have Time for You.
They do not get too busy.
Your mother was not “too busy” to watch you cross the street. Your angel is not too busy to watch you have that difficult conversation, or go to the doctor, or listen as you cry.
They can help us, but in order to do so, they must be asked. This is a basic right we have on this planet: the right to be left alone to fend for ourselves. And many of us like to do that, to struggle along and get things right on our own, without our mother’s or our angel’s help.
But here’s the thing: if you fell in the street, your mother would be right there with you in her mind, urging you to get up and keep going. And if you needed her to go out there with you and pick you up, she would.
So your angel would do the same.
We are being attended to very closely right now, because so, so many people have been asking for help and assistance. Many of us are just asking for help because we are overwhelmed by the things going on in this world. Some are sick, or losing their business, or worried about a loved one. But whatever the reason for asking, our angels are there, translucent hearts in their shimmery throats, feeling our struggles and wanting what we want.
So, step up, the angels tell us this week. Step up and do that new thing, or take that risk. If it’s something you know would be healthy for you, and good for you, and cause you to Grow Up, step up now. There is plenty of aid available.
And don’t forget to call out to your angels. An excellent prayer is this:
Please do what you can to make this easy, safe, and loving for me and for everyone involved.
That is a powerful prayer, especially when it is said from a child-like state of terror/excitement.
Then step up, and do the thing or ask the question or take the stand or cast the vote. Because it’s time, yes, it’s time for all of us to be strong and certain and to ask for what we really want:
Love. Safety. Connection.
And our angels are here to be our greatest support, and our most ready aid.
I am always here to serve in any way I can.
Much Love to You!
Molly
