Chapter 9: Monthly Report
Monthly Report on Test Subject #1876, Toni Willa Shew, Year 16, Month 11
Marked : SUPER SECRET, RECEIVED, FILED, DISSEMINATED
Summary:
Subject still not expressing as hoped. Possible candidate for Accelerator; permission requested.
Detail:
Subject is nearing her maturity, yet still not expressing her genetic potential. Possible hormonal imbalance detected in blood tests, oral medical corrections applied, no response as of this report.
Formal CATs yield no information as to primary field of use in adulthood: even after last month’s strong test for visualization, further follow-ups have failed to record this talent.
Subject keeps to herself, shows signs of depression at home and at Education. However, subject eats, sleeps, and eliminates within normal range.
Due to the significant investments devoted to her genetic code and to her monitoring over the last seventeen years, I believe that an Expression Accelerator is warranted, and I am attaching the EA Request to this Report.
Please note, time is short for approval. Last formal CAT is scheduled for next week, so I am requesting the assistance of Agent Michah Terry in administering the serum the previous night.
CONTINGENCY Preparations for Mandatory Offspring – Phase 2:
Given that we are rapidly approaching subject’s seventeenth birthday, I am preparing for the possibility of failure, and the initiation of the second phase of this initiative.
Please note that this preparation for the Mandatory Offspring phase of the experiment does not in any way indicate that I have given up hope for a successful conclusion to this phase. I still expect to see subject’s genes express fully by age 17. Pragmatism, however, requires me to acknowledge that failure is a possibility.
Tonight’s Sherwood Mandatory Romance Evening will give subject an opportunity to further bond with Marcus Sunning, the best candidate for subject’s partner in a Mandatory Offspring phase. His early genetic expression might act as a natural Expression Accelerator for their progeny, making future iterations of this initiative more successful earlier in their lifespan.
Unfortunately, in my preparations for this phase, I have run into an obstacle. Anthony Shew (AS) has yet to give his immediate permission for marital alignment and forced childbirth phase of experiment, as he is hoping that current experiment will succeed, and subject will express herself.
Without a marital alignment, we will not be able to use these genes in vivo. Any other salvage processes will be far less useful to TaRAM.
For this initiative to succeed, AS must permit subject to maritally align with Marcus Sunning.
Any assistance TaRAM can offer me in securing permission from AS is appreciated. I suspect that his permission will also serve to calm the subject’s emotions and help her to focus and express in a timely fashion.
