Earth: A Fairy Tale, Book 1

The world that you see when you open your eyes is as real as stone, as real as blood, as real as a bouncing ball.

Also: shimmery, insufficient, unstable.

Put your hand on that table and feel the solid wood, glass, metal. Now look at it under a microscope, one that shows the molecules themselves, and observe the spaces between, the whirring of particles, the hidden fury.

The world that you see when you open your eyes is as real as stone. This is true.

And it is also True that your world can change in a blink, by letting the slim blade of your attention find a thin place, a slit between your very real world and a second world just a breath away, and the third world just a finger flick away — and the uncountable other worlds that throb and pulse in here, around you, within you, within me.

All worlds are one, dear, and all worlds are just as real to those who live in them as yours is to you.
